In a rapidly evolving business landscape, innovation is the key to success.

01 What is Eurostars ?

The Eurostars Promotion is a joint initiative of EUREKA and the European Commission, designed to support innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The programme supports cross-border research and development projects led by SMEs and involving partners from other Eurostars participant countries. Its objective is to enhance the competitiveness of these companies and facilitate the faster market introduction of innovative products, processes or services. The promotion covers part of the project costs and provides access to an international network.

02 Who can get the research allowance?

The Eurostars Promotion is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with high potential for innovation, based in one of the Eurostars participant countries. These SMEs must assume the role of project leader and bear at least 50% of the total project costs. Additionally, other organisations, including large companies, universities and research institutions, may participate as partners in the projects. The projects must be cross-border and include at least two partners from different Eurostars participant countries. The participating partners must collaborate on an innovative research and development project that leads to new products, processes or services.

03 What is being funded?

The Eurostars Promotion programme supports cross-border research and development projects led by innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It provides funding for projects developing new products, processes or services with a clear market focus. The programme covers personnel costs, material costs, external services and travel expenses.

04 How much is the subsidy?

The Eurostars programme provides financial support to SMEs, universities and research institutions participating in cross-border research and development projects. Companies can receive up to 50% of eligible costs, while universities and research institutions can receive up to 100% of eligible expenditure.
